Winnie was a true nurse. Not just professionally, but in the ways she cared for her family and friends. If she felt she was needed somewhere, she would drop what she was doing and go to their aide. I saw it so many times over the years, including after my mom's stroke. She always was there with a calm, gentle, cheerful and knowing presence. I'm sure she helped more people than we will ever know. Well done, indeed.

I am thankful that I was able to meet Winnie at Katelyn & Nate's engagement party in March. I was tickled how she introduced herself as Winnie, or "Winnie the Pooh", she explained. We were able to talk for a while as she told me about the family. Rest in peace, sweet Winnie.

I remember taking Mom and my children to the state museum years ago and mom getting excited because she ran into Winnie, her first cousin , in the gift shop . It had been years since they had seen each other . It was a Wednesday because that was the day your mom volunteered❤️ I enjoyed watching them reconnect and I know your Mom was truly blessed to have u all in her life as well as hers in yours. God bless . RIP Winnie Quinn Vereen . You fought the good fight.
