Funeral services will be held at Evangel Temple, Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private family burial is planned afterwards at Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Paul Thomas and Reverend Watson McKemie will be officiating.
Mrs. Culpepper was born in Walhalla, SC on January 14, 1926 to the late Edgar Clarence and Julia Chandler. She had lived in Columbus since 1967 and was a member of Evangel Temple.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clay Hamilton and her second husband, Shelby Culpepper, and also 9 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Culpepper will be greatly missed by her two loving daughters, Gail (Jim) Reddoch and Jan (Ed) Redmond. Seven grandchildren who lovingly called her “Granny Ann” or “Granny Belle”: Eddie (Stephanie) Redmond, Sheri (Mike) Emberton, Jerry (Michelle) Willis, Jennifer (Jarrod) Willis Lee, David and Boyd Reddoch and Chad (Angie) Reddoch. Also she leaves behind 16 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
In addition, she leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, many longtime friends, and new nursing home friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Christopher Wommack, the special nurses and nursing assistants at Orchard View Rehabilitation and Nursing home, St. Francis Hospital, and Columbus Hospice House.
