Mary Fell, 85, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on January 19, 2020 at Magnolia Manor. She was born on August 5, 1934 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Margaret Cooksey Thornton and Albert Thurmond Thornton.
Mrs. Mary was married to the late John T. Fell, Sr.. She was Christian by faith and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Mary loved her family and making sure they had what was needed for life. Even though she never left her home to pursue a job that gave her monetary form of payment for her services in return, her title as a homemaker and housewife, there is no greater form of payment than guidance, caring support, and especially the love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Fell Sr., three brothers, two sisters, and two granddaughtes.
Mrs. Mary is survived by her daughter, Judy M. Campbell; her sons: John Fell, Jr. and Mark G. Fell; eight grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road in Columbus, Georgia on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
