A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia. Family will greet friends after the service at the cemetery.
Roger was born on November 13, 1950 in Steven’s Point, Wisconsin to the late Sophie Kurzinski Jerzak and John Jerzak. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army for over 20 years. While in the Army he met and married his wife, Kil Tok Choe. He was stationed at Fort Benning and this is where they would call home. After his retirement from the Army, Roger began his second career. Roger worked at Swift Denim in Columbus, retiring for a second time after they closed the doors. Roger enjoyed wood working and carpentry, it was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie and John Jerzak, and his wife, Kil Tok Choe Jerzak. Roger is survived by his daughter, Mary Jerzak and her husband Rahim Ali; his stepson, Yongmin Jerzak; his granddaughter, Naderah Ali; his grandson, Ishmael Ali; and numerous other family members. Roger also leaves his canine companion, “Wiggles”.
