Stephen Darrell Hearn

Stephen Darrell Hearn age 76, of Columbus Georgia, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Visitation and Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Mike Reeves officiating Monday, December 10, 2018 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior according to Striffler-Hamby.

Mr. Hearn was born November 24, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia son of the late Andrew Franklin Hearn and Thelma Whetstone Hearn. He was retired from Civil Service and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Through the years Mr. Hearn was choir director of the former Oates Avenue Baptist Church, Northside Baptist Church and Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Sidre Byrd Hearn, a daughter Stephanie Hearn Dean (Alan), a son Stephen Whetstone Hearn, a grandson Jake Alan Dean, a sister Connie Hearn Clark (Phil) and several nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Byron Hearn.
