Jody-I was so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We so much enjoyed having you as neighbors, and seeing you at the Y. You and Don always smiled and had a cheering word for me. I'm so glad that you and I got to know each other better through the book club. You are in my prayers at this difficult time. Thinking of you, Marsha Tilden

Dear Groene Family,

Sorry to read about Mr. Groene's passing. Of course he's Mr. Groene to me since most of my memories would be from Young Avenue days. I hope that Mrs. Groene and all of you are coping well and you are celebrating a life well lived. I'd especially like to say hello to Dan and Annalee. It's been awhile, but one should be able to reach out again, even if it's been a few decades. Once again, I hope you all are doing well.

My heartfelt condolences to Mr. Groene’s entire family. I will always remember his infectious laugh! He was a fine photographer. A photo, taken many years ago, of Spring Mill in the snow hangs in my home.

A special hug and lots of love to my longtime buddy, Annalee.

Dear Groene Family, Deb and I were so saddened to hear the news about Don's passing. We lived next door in Irvington for six years and loved every minute of our time with the Groene family!! Don and Jody introduced us to Graeter's ice cream (delivered direct to our door from Cincinnati...and also introduced us to the Jolli Lodge. What wonderful family memories we have of many summers spent at the Lodge on Lake Michigan....we are so blessed to have known Don!!!!

All our love and blessings at this difficult time for the family.
