Page and I were SAE Pledge Brothers in 1964. Although I haven't seen Page since our IU days, I have good memories of him. When Page entered a room, he commanded the attention of everyone with his deep voice and almost theatrical manner of entry. Very forthright, you always knew his opinion on any issue. A genuinely good man.

Gif was a very good friend, pledge brother, lawyer, soldier, and I'm sure husband and father. I have fond memories of his gold pocket watches and chains woven through his infamous 3-piece suits which exemplified his personality, character, and friendship - all first class!
Rest in peace Gif,

Page and I were classmates at Muncie Central our Sophomore year. He was impressive even then, very smart, confidant and popular with all. We never connected after I moved to Muncie South, but I have often talked of him and his leadership qualities and wondered where he might be. Very sorry to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family. COL Dan Vannatter USA (Ret)

Met Gif as freshmen and SAE pledges in 1964; as mentioned, he was a no nonsense serious sort who was always dressed to the nines, but could bring a smile with his observations of fraternity life. I was glad to reconnect with him years after graduation and careers sent us all in different directions.

I was an SAE pledge brother of Page's and first met him when we were freshmen at IU 50 years ago in 1964. Stand-up guy. Baritone voice. Never minced words. A bit of a dandy who liked to dress up -- 3-piece suits, nice neckties, pocket fold etc., always with a touch of Muncie Central HS cool.
A superior person. Always liked him. Already miss him.

To the family of Page: The SAE class of '65 sends it's thoughts and prayers. We just heard of Page's death. He was a very special guy as we knew him in his college days, bright, with a good head on his shoulders and outstanding in his military and legal career. He will be missed.
