Karen L. Strelou, age 73, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born on September 3, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Northwest in Columbus.
Karen graduated from Wittenberg University for undergraduate studies, where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She continued her studies and earned a Master of Public Administration at The American University in Washington, DC. Subsequently, she earned a law degree from Capitol University school of law after which she spent 28 years as an attorney for the Ohio State Department of Taxation.
In 2016 she moved into an independent living arrangement with her mother at Westminster-Thurber. While there, she served in many ways including being the Computer Chairman, joining the library, and coordinating computer and employee appreciation fund committee activities.
Karen clearly believed that we are put on this earth to help each other. She will be missed by her many friends and colleagues.
According to Karen’s wishes, no public service will be held.
