

Pamela Laurene Walz was born in Columbus on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947 and passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010. She is survived by her parents, Ada L. and Charles J. Walz; two brothers, Eric (Patti) Walz of Temecula, CA, and Chuck (Anna Milena) Walz of Roanoke, VA; one niece, Amanda Walz of Temecula, CA; two nephews, Kevin (Margarite) Walz of Chagrin Falls, OH and Todd (Megan) Walz of Louisville, KY; one great-nephew, Patrick Walz; three great-nieces, Kendahl, Marin, and Keidra Walz; cousins, Carolyn and Lee Dauer, and sister-in-law, Trish Walz. Pamela attended the first ARC Workshop on Summit St. and also the first school for developmentally disabled children at First Community Church. She most recently attended the Cerebral Palsy Day Care. Pamela had many friends there, including her roommate, Frances. Also in Naples, Florida, she had many friends with whom she bowled and partied with. She was very proud of the gold medal she won playing basketball in the Special Olympics. Pamela was a member of Brookwood Presbyterian Church in Columbus. We wish to thank Heartland Hospice, the nurses and aides at Pickerington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and the deacons of Brookwood Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends 12 noon to 1 pm Monday, October 25, 2010 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 1 pm. with Pastor John Birkner officiating. Entombment will follow inside the chapel mausoleum at Green Lawn Cemetery.
