Veronica T. Filaseta

Veronica T. Filaseta, age 85, of Blacklick passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010. Veronica was born on April 25, 1924 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Michael and Elizabeth (Cristofel) Titta. They moved to Canton, Ohio when Veronica was little and she graduated from St. John High School. Veronica met her husband, Leonard, on a blind date when she was on a trip to Kansas with a friend. They married a year and a half later on August 12, 1945. Veronica and Leonard were blessed with a son, Gary (Judy) Filaseta; grandchildren, Christopher (Roberta) Filaseta, Emily Filaseta, Christopher Jackson, and Kimberly (Troy) Vaughan; and great grandson, Cody; who all survive. Veronica and Leonard lived in Cincinnati for over 60 years, where they attended St. Gertrude Parish. Once they moved to Blacklick, they attended St. Matthew the Apostle in Gahanna. She was a warm soul, full of energy and always had her family first in her heart. Upon the families wishes there will be no services for Veronica at this time.
