Pamela J. Olin, 65, a lifelong resident of Concord, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 5, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. She was lovingly cared for at home by her siblings and dear friend Ella Thomas.
Born in Concord, NH on September 6, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Olin and Jacquelyn (Murray) Olin and was the oldest of three children. She graduated from Concord High School in 1974, obtained an Associate's degree in architectural technology at New Hampshire Technical Institute, and then studied at the University of New Hampshire. Pam went on to work for the State of New Hampshire's Electricians' Licensing Board for 38 years, retiring on April 1, 2020.
Pam grew up attending Grace Episcopal Church in East Concord and continued to volunteer at the church throughout her life in many different capacities, serving as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Food Ministry, an Altar Guild member, as chair of the annual Saint Nicholas Fair. Pam was passionate about 4-H and was a member of the Concord Girls Town and Boys Town before becoming a club leader, following in the footsteps of her aunt, Miriam Massey. She enjoyed inspiring others through her love of sewing, crafts, and cooking.
Visiting her home, you would notice that Pam was an avid collector! She enjoyed reading, collecting signed book series, meeting authors and sharing her books with family and friends. Since childhood, she collected dolls, which she also enjoyed designing and displaying, including characters from her beloved books and movie series. Pam loved attending Renaissance Festivals, wearing costumes she made, Hot Air Balloon Rallies, the New Hampshire Highland Games, and local artisan and craft fairs. When she wasn't working in her vegetable garden or canning, you could find her in the kitchen baking.
Pam was a beloved sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. Family and friends were very important to her and the impact she had on all she met was significant. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sister Katrina Evans and her husband, Arthur “Bud” Evans of Derry, NH, and her brother Michael Olin and his wife, Sandy Olin of Sutton, NH. In addition, she leaves behind her nephew Gabriel Olin of Sutton, NH, her niece Allie Colby of Warner, NH, and her nephew Cameron Colby of Reston, VA, aunts Esther Murray of Concord, NH, Emily Evans of Warren, NH, and Ethel Louise Acton of Plantation, Florida, and many cousins.
