Rose Holdridge, age 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. She was born on August 25, 1918 in Lodi, New Jersey and worked for the Bergen County, Weights & Measures Division. She was known for her loving nature and herzest for life. Left to honor and remember Rose are her son-in-law, William G. Carton; her grandchildren, Eileen Schwartz (Bryan), William L. Carton (Melissa), Kathleen Kearney (Sean), Samatha Harris and Audra Palsi; her great-grandchildren, Brendan, Kevin& Aidan Carton, and Christopher & Matthew Kearney. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard F. Holdridge; and her children, Rosemary Carton & Leonard M. Holdridge.
Due to the current situation all services will be conducted privately along with entombment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to the Tolstoy Foundation Nursing Home, 100 Lake Road Valley Cottage, NY 10989

I am thankful to be able to say that grandma Rose was my grandma not a blood grandma but that didn’t matter. She was my grandma. I spent numerous vacations with her and enjoyed every moment of our days together. She always had a smile and always made me smile Grandma Rose was always happy she was our sunshine every day. She will always be the best parts of my memories may you rest in peace. ❤️❤️❤️

Gma Rose was one of a kind. She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. We have so many memories growing up with her. Thank you for sharing her with us. May we all live life so full.
