Elizabeth Lenora Atnip passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018. Elizabeth was born on December 14, 1932 in Black Hill, TX, to Arthur Ernest and Elisa Anna (Hierholzer) Nagel on the family homestead. Singing was a integral part of her life as she spent her youth singing in church and even on the radio. In 1950, Elizabeth married Donald Atnip of San Antonio. As a young adult, she worked for a department store and a wholesale grocer. After spending 26 years in San Antonio, the family moved to Spring, TX in 1976. Much of her life was spent as a homemaker. During her adult years, she loved to paint, garden, and travel. Elizabeth was always ready for an adventure and loved to go anywhere with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Nagel and mother, Elisa Hierholzer Nagel; her husband, Donald Atnip; her brother, Charles B. Nagel; her sister, Mabel Nagel Bey; and her son, Donald Douglas Atnip. She is survived by her sister, Mary Faith Anderegg; her daughter in-law, Sherrye Atnip; her grandson, David Lorenz and his wife, Brandie; her granddaughter, Chelsea Gregurek, and her husband, James; her great-grandsons, Reid, Evan, and Tate Lorenz; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, at 2:00pm at the Floresville City Cemetery.
