Elvira "Vi" Barnett

Funeral services will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, in Conroe, on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan, TX. Pallbearers are Keaton Coker, Kolton Barnett, Kameron Barnett, Landon Townley, Doyle Springer and Robert Springer.

Vi was born June 2, 1942 in Parkin, Arkansas to Clayborn and Lena Mae (Kimbrell) Springer. Her parents preceded her in death.

She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and was a talented painter. Vi truly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for being the best secret keeper and making the best country breakfast in the world and always made everyone feel so special.

Vi leaves behind her daughter Shree Townley and her husband James, son Garland Barnett and his wife Sherri, grandchildren, Shala Fendia and her husband Thomas, Keaton Coker and his wife Katie, Kolton Barnett and his wife Kristen, Landon Townley, Kameron Barnett and his wife Malynn, and Alyssa Townley, great grandchildren, Alex and Jacob Fendia, Eleanor and Audrey Coker, Kaylie & Kimmie Wallace, Kinley and Kyndall Barnett, and Kolby Barnett.

Her loving husband, James Garland Barnett passed away in July and it was only 24 days before he took her hand and carried her home. They were each other’s best friend. Vi and James loved to sit on the front porch drinking coffee, watching the birds, and chatting for hours. Gardening was also a love they shared.
