Geraldine “Jerre” Rosenbaum, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, niece and friend went to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2019, in Conroe, Texas. Jerre was born on September 29, 1938, in Conroe, Texas. Her home was in Conroe, Texas, where she graduated from Conroe High School in 1956. She took continuing education from North Harris County College while being a mother and working.
Ben and Jerre were introduced on a blind date. They married on June 1, 1957 and prior to Ben’s death celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on June 1, 2013. They were truly soul mates, enjoying doing everything together, whether it was working, playing, traveling or shopping. Jerre truly enjoyed the social aspects of life while spending time with her church and sorority friends. She had a smile for everyone she met and enjoyed playing dominoes or chicken foot when she had an opportunity. Jerre (Meme) was a kind and classy lady who was devoted to her family and cared deeply for their well-being. She always wanted to take care and help everyone, including her friends.
Jerre spent her days in the financial sector of Banking for more than 50 years at multiple entities from First National Bank Downtown, NCNB, Klein Bank, Pro Bank and retired in 2014 from Woodforest National Bank, she truly loved the banking industry. Jerre was an active member of West Conroe Baptist Church and dynamic part of the Vineyard Sunday School Class. Jerre loved her church, her and Ben were among the first organizers and planners for what is known as SSSS, which is the main social gathering for the Vineyard Class. SSSS held a very special place in her heart.
Jerre was preceded in death by her husband Ben Rosenbaum, by her parents Rubin and Rosie Mae Wilson and sister Joyce LaVonne Wilson. Jerre is survived by her daughter, Carol Rosenbaum; son, Cary Rosenbaum all of Conroe; three grandchildren, Shaun Stout and wife, Tally of Trinity; Stefanie Stegall of New Braunfels and Lacy Meyers and husband John Paul of Llano. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Mallory and Jace Stout; Rylan Key and Zoey Gray.
A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Jerre in the Chapel of West Conroe Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. We welcome family and friends. In lieu of flowers in Jerre’s memory, you may consider giving to the Vineyard Life Group Benevolence Fund or the Building Fund at West Conroe Baptist Church, 1855 Longmire Rd., Conroe, TX 77304.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their unconditional love and support through the last few years, from rides to doctor’s appointment to accompanying her to church events, we are truly blessed and thankful.
