Samie Nell Cass

It is with great sadness that the family of Samie Nell Cass, beloved mother, sister, and nana, announce her passing on May 14, 2020 at the age of 72 in Willis, Texas. She was born June 4, 1947 in Palestine, Texas to Samuel and Gaynell Simmons.

She was a member of the Rough Riders Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle on the weekends when the weather was just right. Her hobbies included playing bingo and gambling, but nothing was better than spending time with her great grandchildren.

Samie was preceded in death by her parents and second father Claude Davis. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Russell and husband Mel, grandsons Chad Cannon and wife Daniela, Ryan Wilgers and wife Sarah, great grandchildren Caedon, Clayton, and Camilla Cannon, sisters Linda Wallace and Alice Hall, her canine companion, Missy, and numerous other family members and friends.

Public visitation will be held Monday, May 18th at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Cashner’s for immediate friends and family. Everyone is welcome to join the escort and attend burial directly after located at the Black Jack Cemetery.
