Age 92, went home to glory on December 4, 2018 at Randolph Health Services, Randolph WI. Florence was born on July 2, 1926 to Arthur and Ruth Nicholson in Wadena, MN. She was a graduate of Wadena High School and attended Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis, MN. She married Dale Petersen on August 24, 1945. They had two children: Sharon and Randel (Randy).
Florence and Dale enjoyed camping, especially the annual Nicholson weekend at McCarthy Beach State Park. While they lived in Arkansas, they attempted to camp in every state park in that state. Florence enjoyed quilting (by hand) and jigsaw puzzles and reading until her loss of eyesight prevented them. They enjoyed traveling to India, the Holy Land, the whole United States (except Hawaii) and much of Canada.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 65 years, Dale; her Parents, Arthur and Ruth; her Brothers, Raymond, Roy, Gerald; and her Sister, Grace Schultze; Sisters–in-law, Lilah and Lois Nicholson.
