Marianne was born on August 29th, 1940 in Bertha, MN to Otto and Alma Arndt. She was the youngest of 5 and grew up in Staples, MN. She moved to Fargo, ND after graduation. This is where she met the love of her life, Ed. They were married on May 24th, 1959. They resided in Fargo where they had 4 boys, moving to Mn in 1965 and soon added a daughter. They bought their first home in Blaine in 1966. Marianne worked as a nurses aid early on, before staying home to raise her 5 children. She and Ed opened up their home to children in need of care, doing Foster care for 25 years.
Church and music were a big part of Mariannes life. When her sisters were in town, you would find them around the piano singing. She also played the piano and organ for church. She loved being a part of VBS in the summer and bible study throughout the year. She attended multiple concerts with friends. She loved to listen to The Gaither Vocal Band.
