Mary Dauria, a 25-year resident of Copiague, passed on Sunday, with her family by her side. Mrs. Dauria had just celebrated her 96th birthday.

Born in Brooklyn, to her late parents, Pasquale and Rose; Mary was raised there as well. She met her future husband, August; and they married in 1947. They stayed/lived in Ozone Park, raising their own family. She and August were avid cruisers, enjoying every opportunity to travel. After August passed, she moved out to Cambridge Square in Copiague so to be near to her children. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and her ‘junk food’, and was a lover of dogs. She missed her beloved beagles that had passed, Missy and Penny.

Mary is survived by her beloved family – her sons – Thomas and her daughter-in-law, Radhica; Paul; Michael and her daughter-in-law, Nancy; Joseph and her daughter-in-law, Mary, and Steven and her daughter-in-law, Claudia; her grandchildren – Rene (Jeff), Nicole, Kimberly (John), Alyssa, Andrea, Michael, Jennifer (Vincent), Joseph (Denise), Christina (T.J.), Stefanie, Nicolas and Emily. She also leaves fifteen great-grandchildren, with two on the way.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for visitation on Thursday, July 2nd, from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. During the evening hours, the Wake Service will be offered by the Deacon of Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church in Copiague. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.

In keeping with the mandates of New York State regarding our current pandemic, entry into the funeral home will require the wearing of facial coverings/masks; and must be worn while inside the building. For the safety of our visitors and staff, the funeral home is consistently cleaned and sanitized. Each visitor will be given a pass to carry while inside the funeral home. When capacity is reached, no one else may enter. When visitors leave, passes will be returned to the staff in order to allow others to enter.
