Lorraine Jaret

May 23, 1947May 18, 2020

Jaret, Lorraine, of Delray Beach, passed away May 18, 2020. Lorraine was born on May 23, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to the late Haris and Yolanda Matos. She graduated as Valedictorian of her HS class at an all-girls catholic school in Manhattan. In her early years, she worked as a secretary in legal & accounting professions. She was a successful and driven real estate agent. She was a paraprofessional in the Broward County school district, where she spent many years dedicating her love and support to children with disabilities through teaching. While working, she founded a business in 2008 called Mamas ‘n’ Mimas selling various baby clothing & accessories, which continued through her retirement. Every year, she found great joy in choosing two less fortunate children (a boy and a girl) from the Angel Tree and giving them Christmas gifts. She enjoyed a variety of music, dancing, and socializing. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time, as education/literacy was very important to her. Lorraine had a funny personality and always lit up the room wherever she went. She loved receiving teddy bear hugs from her grandchildren and was known for the best back scratches in town. Preceded in death by her parents Haris and Yolanda Matos, and brother Haris Matos Jr. She is survived by her sister, Melinda Matos; husband, Marvin Jaret; daughters, Tiare Strudler and Amanda Jaret; son, Jared Jaret Wilder, two granddaughters, four grandsons, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. The family will be holding a memorial service from 5:00-7:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 N University Drive Coral Springs, FL 33065, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00pm.

For as long as i can remember. Lorraine Jaret always spoke her mind and lived every moment to the fullest. I’m sure she held back very little and moved on with no regrets.

A dear friend has left us this week. She grew up in the projects and was a feisty woman. We spoke on the phone quite a bit. May she RIP and may GOD bless her family and loved ones.

For the dear family and friends of Lorraine My prayer for you :
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
