Mike will be missed. He was such a loving, and caring person who would always try to help out those around him, especially his family.

One of my best and oldest memories of Mike was when he took Jeanie Marie, myself, my brother and my Dad for a plane ride. It must have been sometime around 1978. He piloted the small cesna aircraft and took us on a site seeing tour, and a couple hours later we landed in a field i believe near lake Okeechobee and all had lunch that was brought in a pick-nick basket. Shortly thereafter, we headed back up for some more flying and then back home. I brought this up to Mike a couple months ago when he was in the nursing home to see if he remembered it. Immediately, his eyes lit up, a big smile came across his face, and without saying anything he appeared to be back in that moment. Without ever losing his smile for the next 15 minutes or so, he started to talk and reminisce about that plane ride as if it just happened.

We know you are now in heaven Mike, flying free again. You are loved and missed and will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
