Artie Faye Smith

Funeral services for Artie Faye Smith, 87, are set for 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 14, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Prentiss Gordon and Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died on Friday, March 11, 2011 at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Friday, September 14, 1923 in Selmer, TN to the late William Enloe and Beatrice Blakley Gooch. She worked at Wurlitzer from where she retired, and was a member of and an integral part of the church First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being around children and was a child care provider for over 40 years at the church. She loved potting plants and flowers, her cats, and enjoyed meeting and talking with her many friends. She will be missed by many was loved by all.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Etha Pearle Gooch and Ruth G. Tyson; and a brother, Charles William Gooch, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Durrell Smith and wife Tonya of Alaska, and Wayne Smith and husband Bobbie; three daughters, Diane Hilburn and husband Roger, Virginia Smith and Pam Foster and husband Steve, all of Corinth; eight grandchildren, Cryste Parker and husband Eric, Dustin Smith, Wendy Hilburn and Fiance Pete Doyle, Merideth Timbes, Art Timbes, Richie Hilburn, Lucinda Smith, and Courtney Smith; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Foster, Pete Doyle, Freddie Gooch, Charlie Gooch, Chip Timbes and Eric Parker.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. till service time on Monday.
