Funeral service for Ripple Shields Miller 89, are set for 11:00 am Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Nails and Rev. Randy Marchant officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Ripple died July 6, 2019 at MS Care Center. She was born January 22, 1930 in Alcorn Co. MS. to the late J. D. and Hettie (Morelock) Shields. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, a graduate of Alcorn Agriculture High School. She worked at ITT for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Miller; parents; brothers, Hershel Shields, Robert Clay Shields; sisters, Bernice Jordan, Vivian Butrum, Helen Pires.
She is survived by her three children, Gary Miller (Naomi) of Mooresville, IN., Johnny Miller (Connie) of Michie, TN., Janice Miller of Corinth, MS.; sisters, Ferrell Evetts, Peggy Pearson both of Corinth, MS.; brother Clyde Shields of New River AZ.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several family and friends.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Wednesday from 10:00 to service time.

I loved Ms Ripple, she was the best and first Sunday school teacher I remember. I have missed seeing her at church since she got to where she could not come.
