Dolores Jensen

JENSEN, Dolores (Rose) - At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday October 1, 2012. She was 85. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Jensen. Predeceased by her parents, Aime and Cecile (Carriere) Rose, 2 brothers, Ernest (Betty) and Roger Rose and one sister Therese Desjardins. She leaves her best friend Simon Gravel and his daughter Anne, a cousin Mathilde Bazinet and nieces and nephews, Richard Desjardins, Mario Pelletier, Scott, Michelle and Gordon Rose. Also survived by her family in Denmark, Lena, Jakob and Julie Pedersen. Dolores was a Senior Manager with Bell Canada and served on the Hospital Board of Governors, The Cornwall Police Services Board and was instrumental in the formation of the Senior’s Club. Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:30am. Funeral Mass, Friday October 5, 2012 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre Foundation or the Nipissing Residential Hospice appreciated. Special thanks to the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, Dr. Patel, Karen Dewar and Craig Smith.

Mrs. Jensen was one of the kindest neighbours we had in Cornwall. She was always so friendly and giving, even when enduring her own hardships and heartaches. We have all lost someone special. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
