Bob it has been 3 years since you left everyone in shock.  I know that you are watching over all of your loved ones and taking care of them.  I hope that you are playing hockey up there.
So many times we would sit and watch the hockey game me a die hard Leafs fan( stop laughing) and you a die hard Montreal fan( now I am laughing) both of us hoping that this will be the year that we go all the way.
Know that you are miss and loved by many and that you are thought of everyday.   Go Leafs Go!!!

You and mom have given us so much love, strength and character.  We're going to be alright.  Just not as whole as we were when you were here to help us all with that feeling of home.  Luckily, as sad as mom can be, she is strong, and can fake a smile long enough so anyone who visits can still feel comfort when we're around her.  I am so thankful to have been able to see you for supper before your last monday night hockey game.  You we're right about the leak from my microwave exhaust vent caused the pipe not being insulated in the attic.  I find it hard to motivate myself to do any work on the house I had planned to do with you.  I will need to toughen up a bit and get around to it soon.  I know that things change and we adapt, but you're an asshole for  making us do it this soon.  I guess I forgive you.   I will never love another man as much as I loved you. So mom, you're not the only one... 

 These aren't my last written words to you I have many more thoughts, but I can't see the screen anymore through these sad tears that I hope one day will turn into prouder and happier tears as the days come and go.  I'm so lucky to have had a pap like you.  Je t'aime Pa.

It's time I finally find the courage to do this. I have been avoiding it because I cannot bare the thought of saying goodbye to you.  Ever since you left us, I have been trying to stay focused on things that needed to get done because it's easier to stay busy then to sit with the fact that you are no longer here.   My heart cannot handle it...it is simply impossible to accept. I love you too much to imagine my life without you....but then I remember how lucky I am to have had you in my life at all. 

Now this is the hard part; trying to put into words who you were and what you meant to me, because words aren't enough.  It runs so much deeper than that.  I have been so fortunate in life to have amazing family and friends and I cherish them all.  But you Pap, you were home to me.   I have always felt so connected to you and appreciated how influential you were regarding my interests and values.  I have such immense respect for you!  You are the main reason I didn't want to change my name when I got married.  I am so proud to be your daughter.  And the thing about us is that I know the feeling was mutual. Despite leaving us so suddenly, I can honestly say I have no regrets because I know you loved me and you knew I loved you too.  The unspoken bond between us lives in my heart.  

I will forever miss our playful antics, dancing and laughing with you while you pretend to know all the words and watching you with the boys. You were the best Papi!   And although we still need you...I guess we are going to have to figure out a way to move on.  So I promise to keep all of the memories close to my heart and to keep your spirit (and all the good you embodied) alive in me as inspiration...so that I can pass it on to my sons.  

Please know that Mom, Zac, Ben and I will never let you go but that we will eventually find a way to be happy again...for you!

It's taken me a while to try and put the right words together. I thought it would get easier with time... It doesn't.
It's hard to believe that I won't get to see you again, my heart doesn't want to accept it.
I wish Porter and Ferris had more time with you as they are truly missing out on the best Grandfather (Papi) ever.
I'm so grateful to have you as a father. You may be gone in body but your words and actions will forever be on replay in my mind.

I had the privilege of meeting Bob when I was roommates in College with Ben. I was often invited over for the holidays where I was always welcomed as part of this amazing family.  Bob always treated me like another son, even though I am a Leafs fan!   It truly is people like him that make this world a better place.  I will always remember your passion for sports, your humour, your generosity, and of course the love you have for your amazing family!  R.I.P Bobby P!

You had so many friends come to say their goodbyes and give their support to our family hon. Our hearts were filled with all the love in that room. The grandkids were so well behaved and our little Ferris put a smile on everyone's face. She is a doll. Please watch over them. Iheld a party for you on Friday nite and it was standing room only. Jeff got a band together and played all night in your honour. I got to experience all the kind words and stories of your friendship with so many. I'm so proud of the man  you were and you will always be in my heart. I'm kinda missing my man but I know you are always with our beautiful family. Love you always xx

We were looking forward to having him join our Seaway Blades team at the World Cup in Richmond, BC this April, and he would have helped us tremendously. I have read all the posts & messages, have looked at all the beautiful pictures & am still finding it hard to come up with something to write. Something to describe how great a man Uncle Bob was, what an amazing best friend & husband he was to you Aunt Debbie & the coolest & greatest Dad he was to you Ben, Melissa & Zac, he was the BEST!! 
Uncle Bob had a smile that lite up a room, always making everyone feel welcomed & at home. His laughter, sense of humor, competitiveness along with his kind heart will be just a few of the things I will miss about him at our Cornwall visits. 
Every year when Easter arrives, I remember how much you laughed when you had me stumped & ever so puzzled as I searched frantically for my Easter basket. (Always check the dishwasher first, lol) Your clues were always clever, creative & made Easter that much more exciting. I believe I still have the last clue you wrote me a couple of years ago tucked away. Emily & Mady had a good laugh, watching their Mom try & decode your clue & find my chocolate bunny. 
My memories are filled with laughter, gathered around the table playing cards for hours, buckets of quarters,  shooter boots,  your dance moves, dance parties in the kitchen, happiness & love, lots of love.  If I remember correctly, your hangover cure  “bread soaked in milk”, you said it was the best, I will trust you on that one. 
Uncle Bob, you were simply the best no words will ever truly describe what an amazing human being you were, not just to our family, but to everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing you. Aunt Debbie, Ben, Melissa & Zac, my heart is sad & broken for you & your families. He loved you all so much, you were his world, his pride and joy, you can see it in every picture, every time he looked at you, every story he shared, his family was his everything. Everyone deserves a "Bob Pregent" in their life, so lucky we had ours. RIP Uncle Bob, I will miss you & always love you.

There isn’t just one memory. It’s a whole childhood of memories. Playing soccer with Melissa for so long, we ultimately grew up together, and shared laughter, loss, heartache.  And through it all, Bob and Debbie were always smiling, always positive, always loving. Thank you for being that for all of us. You will always be in our hearts. 

Bob had an unmatchable ability to make us feel so warm and welcomed, even from the first time we each met him. We always remember Bob with a smile on his face. 

We can remember coming to Cornwall for visits to the Pregent’s epic bonfire parties with our two kids, and each time were greeted with open arms and open hearts. Tons of kids would run around the house and Bob always looked on with such delight and content.

The Pregent family is like no other. They have always treated us and our kids like family. Bob’s big heart, kind demeanour, wisdom and wonderful laugh will be so greatly missed.

Bob Pregent is a great man. This will always be true because what he has given this world will remain for ages. In particular, he's given the world 3 wonderful children who will continue to provide joy and marvelous experiences for us all. His first son has been my best friend for over 30 years. I'm beyond lucky to be able to call him my brother. His daughter is an amazing person and keeps getting better every day. His second son impresses more me every time I see him. Bob has given his chlidren more than most receive in five lifetimes: a sense of community, the ability to truly enjoy life, the gift of laughter, the ability to see your own flaws and grow in spite of them, and a love of music that inspries. If Bob could have only learned to dance with grace he would've actually been the superstar his children believe him to be. He's given so much to so many and what he's given will never be forgotten.

The one thing we will all agree on is that Bob enriched our lives.  His laughter was infectious.  His friendship through College, dating our girlfriends, attending each others weddings, vacationing in Cuba and the many New Years Eve’s parties will be with me for the rest of my life.   My heart is broken.

Trying to find specific memories or stories to share is hard for me.  I’ve known you for so long and all I can think of is how much better my life is with all of you in it. I appreciate so much everything you’ve done for me throughout all these years. Memories of playing up in Pap’s office and singing songs, his heartfelt laugh that would just burst out when I would do or say such stupid things (and yes, there were many). Pap also listened and I remember our conversations when I would come visit or how he’d play with Adelina while I would continue to chat with mom (because yes I do talk a lot) I was also recently reminded how much he looked like Alan Thicke (even Adelina agreed). 

But honestly, he was just such a great man and I’m grateful to have known him. I love you all from the bottom of my heart and Pap has definitely left his mark in our lives. ❤️

It was Bob's birthday party at the Blue Anchor... and I had some friends down from Ottawa...they said "you really want to go to a 60th birthday party at the Anchor?" ... My reply "these people are going to remind us how to party..." With his infectious smile, his charming looks and his quick laugh, Bob was always a true "party starter." There hasn't been a day since I heard the news, that I haven't stopped to think of you, Bob. Thank you for reminding me that life is unpredictable; to be grateful and to truly take a moment to appreciate how blessed I am. Your children have many of your qualities ... their welcoming spirit, a smile that reaches their eyes and their ability to rock a dance floor will always remind me of you.

Bob was and still is a Zen brother to me: love for people; kindness; equanimity; patience; generosity and laughter. His laugh was neither cynical, sarcastic, bitter nor defiant.  It came from his soul. One of the latest memory was when I called him in September to let him know that we had a new sister, Aline. His first reaction was “ah, that’s interesting” and we both started to laugh. I will always remember his laugh.  It's engraved in my heart. I'm blessed and grateful to have had him as a brother and to have sister-in-law that loves him so very much and a niece and nephew and his grand-children that will carry his legacy: his joie de vivre.  Love you all!

Bob and Debbie, you both have been such a significant part of my life, I can credit you both for the person that I am today. I’ve spent countless hours in every one of your Glendale homes, my “second family” as Melissa and I would describe it. I am so grateful for all the moments and memories I have of Bob. Bob was one of those guys who everyone admired.  He was a quality person, an amazing family man and a great friend to many of us.  There were always lots of great conversations, laughs and few pints shared in the hockey dressing room and on the golf course.  Those who did, know what I'm talking about.  I'm sure glad I had the opportunity to share some of those good times with him.

My dear brother , Bobus was your nick name.  Even though we lived 3,000 miles apart for the last 26 years. You have always been very close to my heart!  Grateful to have seen you last October.  You are sadly missed. RIP

In 1998, Bob was golfing and he was going to hit the ball with a wood golf club. There was a foresome of women right behind him. He told us that he had to fart but was too embarrassed to fart in front of the ladies. Because he held it in and went to hit the ball he injured his back and sciatic nerve. Believe me, I know what a sore back and injured sciatic nerve is all about. The end of November of that year we went to Mexico with Bob, Debbie, Denis and Linda Benoit, Cecil and myself. The poor guy's back was still hurting him but he still laughed about how he injured himself. That was Bob always laughing,  good natured, joker, good mood and best friend ever we could ask for.  We are going to miss you Bob, and you are now an Angel in Heaven I'm very sure. Love you and sending hugs and kisses your way up.  Our condolences to you Debbie, Ben, Melissa, Zac, and your families. I only met Bob a couple of times but I found him to be a very sweet, welcoming and funny gentleman. I had the extreme pleasure of visiting with him, and Debbie, this past summer in their lovely home. We had such a great evening, with lots of laughs, and a lovely dinner. Bob will be greatly missed!

We met you ( Debbie) and Bob at Dan and Mel’s wedding this past August. You both were so nice and it was obvious you both had a beautiful marriage as you joked with us. Dan spoke of him with pride and love, like a father figure. It was easy to see Dan came from a wonderful family.  May you always feel him around you, and may your days be filled with beautiful memories that will carry you.  Celebrate the amazing man he was. He will be so greatly missed by so many. My condolences to Deb and family. He will be missed. I will never forget the day I met Bob. Nicest guy I ever had the pleasure to meet. We became fast friends on and off the ice.

I didn't get to spend much time with Bob, certainly not enough.  He always treated me like an old friend. The whole family has a way of making the people around them feel special, he clearly led by example. 

I've  lost the lost my life on monday.my heart is broken but in time I hope I'm able to see the fun side of life again.we have had a beautiful life together and we have 3 amazing kids and their spouses.our 5 grandchildren will keep me on my toes,and I will share many yrs of happiness with family and friends.for now I can't see past the sadness.thank you to everyone who have brought food and flowers and their hugs and love.it is very overwhelming.my Bobbie p was well loved and respected by all.please know that I feel everyone of your hearts sadness..dont be shy to pay me a short visit i think it will help me with my loneliness   xx

Bob was a great guy and ran our Monday night hockey group for many years.
He always had a smile on his face and a joke or story to tell.
He will be missed.
