Glima Sue Beverley, 91, of Fountain Valley California passed away peacefully May 29, 2020. Glima was born on September 3, 1928 in Shelbiana Kentucky. She attended school in nearby Jenkins where she met and married her husband of 72 years, William Beverley, in 1948. They moved to Long Beach California in 1950 where they had two sons Stephen and Dale, relocated to Charlotte North Carolina in 1960, and then back to California in 1966, and to Fountain Valley in 1967 where they lived since. Glima was a kind and loving wife and mother and was very active in the Fountain Valley Methodist Church where she sang for many years in the choir. She took special pleasure in camping and holidays with her family, and loved her cats and Boston Terriers. She is survived by her spouse William Maurice Beverley; son Dale and his wife Gloria, grandson William Alan Beverley and wife Ashley, and great grandchildren Avery and Forrest; grandson Daniel Beverley and wife Stephanie and great granddaughter Holly; step-grandson Jerry Maldonado and step-great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Jerry Jr., Christian, and Arianna; son Stephen and his wife Deborah Dobson and grandson Christopher Victor Beverley in St. Louis; and sister Phyllis Howard in Michigan. Glima was loved and will be missed by all – God loaned us an angel, and now he has called her back. Due to the current pandemic, a small service by invitation will be held in memory at Pacific View Memorial Park June 3.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to her church, the Fount (http://thefount.church/church/).
