Her family was her world. Shyamala was a loving soul who connected easily with anyone who crossed her path, leaving them with a feeling of warmth and care. She had a variety of interests including cooking, gardening, taking long walks, listening to music, and playing cards. She also enjoyed and was skilled in sewing, decorating, and many forms of arts and crafts. Shyamala is survived by her husband Dr. Dheeraj Lal of Newport Beach, California, her daughter Manju Lal of Newport Beach, California, her son Ashwini Lal of Pasadena, California, her brother Sushil Chander of Hyderabad, India, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
