Annette Alice Dornak Wik, 69, passed away on August 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 17, 1948 in Moulton, Texas. Annette had a love for the gifts God gives us every day through appreciation. Her heart was always the happiest when she was with family.
Annette married David James Wik, March 17, 1973 in Corpus Christi, Texas. David was in the United States Navy where the family served 20 years living throughout the United States. Annette and David moved to Corpus Christi in 1985 where they resided and raised their 3 beautiful children. She was very active at St. Pius X Catholic Church and in the PTA’s of her children’s schools.
Annette is preceded in death by her brother Arnold Anton Dornak, her father Anton Arnold Dornak and mother, Annie Marie Okrulik Dornak.
Her legacy will continue through her husband David James Wik, daughter Teresa (James) Creekmore, sons Brian Wik, Kevin (Jessica) Wik, grandchildren, Hannah, Jadyn, Austin and Elijah, brother Arthur (Pam) Dornak, sister Audrey (Rick) Foust, brother Tony (Gloria) Dornak and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Annette was an angel, and we know her legacy will be cherished. Long live her beauty, appreciation for life and kindness that will never be forgotten through everyone she touched.
Visitation will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will be at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
