Aurora Vargas Donahue

Aurora V. Donahue, age 89 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully on December 14, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family. Aurora enjoyed being with friends and family. She was a seamstress which was also her passion. She loved cooking for everyone. She will always be remembered for the unconditional love she gave her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar P. Donahue, Jr.; her children, Oscar P. Donahue III, Christopher Donahue; her daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Donahue; her parents Guadalupe and Jesusa Montez and siblings Mary Alicia Colunga and Pedro Vargas. Aurora will be greatly missed by her children, Aurora (Arturo Sr.) Ochoa, Rose M. Donahue, Ronald (Letty) Donahue, Elizabeth (Edward) Flores and Richard Donahue; her daughter-in-law Elida Donahue; her 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; brother, Guadalupe (Sandy) Montez; half siblings Frances Villarreal, Blanca Barbosa, Hector and Carlos Vargas and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on December 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3350 South Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. Holy Rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m. and continue with a Holy Mass to be held at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. We were far apart in miles only but always in my heart, i always knew i had you in Corpus, i remember when you & Oscar would come to visit Ama Seferina, with all your kids when they were small. My sincere condolences on your loss. Aurora was a very special person and I shall always treasure on phone conversations & laughter. I was so proud and happy we had connected after so many years. Just remember those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday,, unseen, unheard but she will always be near. Still loved and still missed and very dear. Wonderful memories will live on forever in our hearts. Your loss is shared my many.
