Eliseo was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was married to the love of his life, Maria (Diaz) Dávila, one month shy of 76 years. He was a craftsman bricklayer who loved his trade, the fruits of which are still visible throughout the Corpus Christi Bay Area, including several churches he helped construct pro-bono. His favorite pastimes were time with family, Spanish movies, Mexican folk ballads (corridos), and home projects. Eliseo was a faithful member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Robstown, Texas.
Eliseo was preceded in death by his parents, Anselmo and Sara Dávila; an infant son, Jose Luis; granddaughter, Lisa Marie; brothers, Anselmo and Heverto; his sisters, Maria Luna, Sara Barrientos, Ninfa Rodriguez, Elvira Montez, and Estefana Dávila.
Eliseo leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 75 years and 11 months, Maria Dávila; children, Daniel (Georgiana), Javier (Orpha), Rosie, Oscar (Janie), Anselmo (Yolanda), David (Olga), Marisela (Ron) Cummings, Jose Luis (Elizabeth), Idalia (Doug) Klopfenstein, and Samuel (Martha); brother, Carlos (Francisca) Dávila; sisters, Delia (Rosendo) Rodriguez, Margarita (Armando) Martinez, and Marta (Gume – deceased) Castilleja; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
The family will host a Memorial Service for Eliseo on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Church of God Seventh Day in (3885 County Rd. 61) Robstown, Texas, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Interment immediately following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
