I, also remember all those happy times we had at St Marks; the quincenieras, weddings. I especially remember our poker nights. I really miss those good old days. I’m sure you will be missed by many.

Tio Joe,
You are truly the epitome of what it is to be an Uncle! Everyone should be so lucky and Blessed to have an Uncle like you! So many of my childhood memories of Corpus Christi, have you in them! You were always fun to be around, the life of the party! You always showed true love , care, and concern to all of those around you! Your love of family was very evident at any gathering! I will forever remember those gatherings on MacArthur St, and on Wainwright St. in Corpus Christi! You will be missed! "May the Angels be your guide, and lead you into Paradise"!❤

Our dad was a great man. He provided for his family, took us on countless trips to Gardner, Freeport and Galveston. We would drive to Corpus to visit family even when he got home from working a late shift. He taught me to dance, there were a lot of dances at St. Marks. He always remembered special holidays, like valentines. He would bring us each a box of chocolates & a flower. Great cook of his restaurant Joeal’s Burritos. He loved gambling, slots & cards (knock, knock). Loved his kids, grand kids & great grand baby.
He cared for mom & aunt Cruzita at the nursing home. Everyone at the nursing home knew him, including the visitors. There are so many more memories. We love you MOST Daddy, Always & Forever.

Mr. Garza was a great man! A great father figure to so many. I grew up with the Garza Family. We always had such great times. Mr. Garza was always joking. He gave the best advice. Thank you for always being there even for me. You will be truly missed.

Popo I miss you so much. You were such a hard working man, always moving around. I miss your cooking. I miss the summers we would go stay with y’all for two weeks. How you would always have breakfast, lunch & dinner ready for us. I miss getting up in the mornings and hearing you and momo saying good morning while y’all are playing cards. You were the best grandpa ever. Always felt so loved with y’all! Always teaching us about god and to be grateful of what we had. I know you will be watching over us. I love you my angel ❤️

I have so many memories of you dad...when we had the restaurant, all our trips to Surfside , Gardner’s State Park. The jokes.....trying to get me to go to the Texans side when you know you were a Cowboys at one time 😉. You always worried about me and Rita.....we are good dad...we just love and miss you so much.

My Popo was always the jokester of the family. He was always goofing off and making everyone laugh. I’m so grateful to have had such an amazing grandpa in my life, and I miss you and the thousand of voicemails you would leave me. I’m so happy you didn’t listen to me when I said no one uses voicemail anymore. I love you forever my angel. Until I see you again, watch over us and take care of my brother.

I remember dancing with you at the St Marks Dance Hall, taking you to the movies and making sure you have a big bucket of popcorn because you loved your popcorn, getting hints of when I needed to spoil you with a new bottle of your Polo cologne because you ran out, our family trips to Surfside, your cooking, your conversations about life and how you taught me to be a strong woman and know how to take care of myself. So many things...

One of my most favorite uncles who was a wonderful cook and could make you laugh while doing it! My fondest memories is working with him at his restaurant Joeal's Burritos... the fun and the food were the best times.
