MARIA A. GONZALEZ of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born in Jim Wells County, Texas on September 8, 1940 to Jesus Abrigo, Sr. and Elida Mesquias Abrigo. She took so much pride in working full-time for 15 years as a caregiver for her grandson. Maria loved being around her family so much, shopping for her kitty, and watching her novellas. She was a beautiful, kind, generous mom, and grandma who left us with many cherished memories. She will be greatly missed. Maria is preceded in death by her son, Jose A. Gonzalez, Jr. and her parents Jesus Abrigo, Sr. and Elisa Mesquias Abrigo. Maria is survived by her daughters: Velma (Ernest) Aleman, Sylvia Gonzalez, Lydia Riley, and Debra (Timothy) Tedesco; nine grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
