Raynaldo Anastacio Espitia, age 71, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was surrounded by family as he was called home to the Lord on November 18, 2020. Raynaldo was born April 3, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Anastacio Espitia and Elvira (Trujillo) Espitia.
After he proudly graduated from Roy Miller High School, Ray went on to attend Del Mar College. Later, he married his childhood playmate, Elvia Arevalo Espitia. They married on December 12, 1970, and this year they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Ray has held a variety of occupations including sheriff, karate instructor, purchasing, and sales. He retired in 2014. Ray was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cultivating his gun collection, and rooting for his favorite football teams: Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns.
He is preceded in death by his parents Anastacio & Elvira Espitia. He is survived by his wife, Elvia Espitia; daughter Vanessa (Donald) Patterson; grandson Oceano Rey Patterson; granddaughter Isla Pearl Patterson; siblings: Robert Omar Espitia, Mary Alice DeLaRosa, Ruben Anthony Espitia, and Ricardo Rene Espitia.
Visitation begins at noon on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart Chapel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. Rosary at 12:30 p.m. Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery, 2731 Comanche Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78408.
