Rosaria Abrignani

In 1943, Rosaria married Matteo Abrignani. In 1960, Rosaria and Matteo immigrated the United States with their five children. They settled first in Brooklyn, New York, then later moved to West Babylon on Long Island, where they spent many years raising their family. In their later years, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Rosaria loved being a mother and grandmother. She will be remembered by them for her love, laughter, delicious food and special cookies.

Rosaria is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matteo Abrignani; a daughter, Maria Cataldo; brothers, Salvatore Palermo, Giacamo Palermo, and Pietro Palermo; grandsons, Salvatore Cataldo, and Sean Flemister.

She is survived by her children, Giovanna Ferro, Mario Abrignani, Vincenza Gentile, and Francesco Abrignani; her sisters, Tina Bono, Brigida Micaletti, Maria Anteri, Rosa Ferrantello, Carmela Licatini; and brother, Jimmy Palermo; grandchildren, Matteo Cataldo, Andrew Cataldo, Anthony Cataldo, Calogero Ferro, Matteo Ferro, Phillip Ferro, Maria Grazia Laudicina, Matteo Abrignani, Peter Abrignani, Jacqueline Gentile, Angelo Gentile, Frankie Abrignani, and Leeann Abrignani; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Chapel service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 am with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
