~ James William Adams ~ September 3, 1945 - October 1, 2010

Many may know him as Jim, but some call him Jimmy, and a few might call him Jim Bill. Though however many names we may have for him, we can all agree, he was indeed a great man. A friend, family, and mentor to all, he has inspired us with his brilliant mind and loving heart. His warm and radiant smile has touched countless across the years, and will never be forgotten.

To commemorate his 65 years of life on earth, please feel free to leave a message, or contribute a story of the fond memories you've shared with Jim. These stories are what shaped and influenced his life, as much as he has ours.

On behalf of Jim, we would like to thank each and every one of you. Thank you for all the beautiful memories and moments you have shared with him. And thank you for being his friend.

With Love, The Adams Family

HI Tomoko.

I was very saddened to hear about Jim's passing in a Facebook message from Ashley. I knew Jim from when I first went to Japan in 1986 when he was the foreign staff coordinator for ComputerLand Japan. Several years later I was working as a contractor at Morgan Stanley and they asked me if I knew anyone who could be an IT Manager. A few days later I ran into Jim and Tomoko at Hibiya station and suggested he contact Morgan Stanley. The rest, as they say, is history. I cannot add any more to the praise for Jim's wonderful friendship that others have written here. our best wishes are with you Tomoko and Ashley.

To Jim and his family,
Every time I had the opportunity to work with Jim, I knew the experience would not only be wonderful fun because of Jim, but that the folks would get significant value from the program. The Court will miss Jim, his good work, and his infectious happiness. Thanks

Dear Adams family,

The last memory I have of Mr. Adams was seeing him happily playing super mario bros on wii at your house, and thinking what a cool dad he was. I will joyfully remember him as such. He lives on in our hearts and minds, as well as in all the crafty things he made that are sitting around all over your house.

He was an inspiration to all of our girls with his presence. And I remember his involvement with the program to teach them to drive safely. He lives in all of them and us with his dedicated and loving spirit. Love to you, Ashley, and your beautiful mother...

Our Court will never be the same without Jim. In him, we lost more than a co-worker, he was a friend who set a high bar in terms of experience, knowledge, productivity, service to others and most of all compassion and collegiality.

Dear Adams Family,

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Jim's sudden passing. As with several others who've written to you, I met Jim through ASTD Orange County several years ago and will always remember his gentle and unassuming yet helpful manner along with his passion for people and their potential. May you find tremendous comfort in all the memories the two of you have of him!
