Percy was raised in Salmo, B.C., after graduating, Percy went off to university where shortly after he enlisted in the army where he served in Europe during WWII as a signal man. Returning back to Canada, Percy got a job with Canadian Customs which he did for 30 years. Retiring in Courtenay, with his wife and boys, Percy had many interests. He was an avid golfer and spent many hours on the greens around the valley and when he wasn’t golfing you could find him with his collie dogs.
Percy was a man of faith and was very involved with his church, St. George’s United Church as well as Percy was a Mason for 40+ years and a Shriner for 20+ years.
Percy is predeceased by his beloved wife, Anna Maria Wilde of 65 years, and son Gregory Wilde.
He is survived by his devoted son, Robert (Mary), loving grandchildren, Lee (Alana), Amy (Jonny), and great-grandson, Calvin.
A memorial service will be taking place on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2pm at Piercy’s Mt. Washington Funeral Home.
