Kelly Nicole Bays
April 22, 1994 – November 28, 2019
Kelly Nicole Bays was born April 22, 1994 in Westminster, Colorado to Ellen Jean Robertson and Scott Frederick Bays. From a young age it was clear that Kelly was an artist. She loved to draw and her love of art eventually lead her to tattooing. Kelly had even started tattooing at the age of 13, using her friends and families as a canvas. She enjoyed other crafts such as knitting and crocheting and had made several of her family members, blankets and other keepsakes. In school Kelly was involved in competitive cheerleading to which she traveled across the country winning different awards. She took a lot of pride in her appearance making sure that her hair and makeup where always on point and was always offering to do her sisters and friends hair and makeup. Kelly’s free spirit was incorporated into every aspect of her life, from her love of riding motorcycles to her love of music. Kelly was known to “get down” to any and all music from older genres to modern day music. Kelly was even known to get out of her car to dance on the street at a red light, and had done so a several occasions. Although Kelly had many achievements and adventures in her life, the greatest by far was the birth of her son Lougen, whom she welcomed into this world on October 8, 2015. Kelly will forever be remembered as a fun loving free spirit with a heart of gold and a soul that was always willing to help anybody in need. She loved her friends and family so deeply and with such sincerity, that it will never be forgotten. Kelly is survived by her son Lougen Wieland; her parents Ellen Jean Robertson and Scott (Robin) Bays; sisters Kristy (Travis) McDonald, Heather (Kyle) Davis, Cara (Conner Jurgensen) Scurlock, and Brittany Scurlock; brothers Eric (Angela) Boyer, Robert Boyer, Christopher (Taray) Davis and Elvis Campbell; as well as nine nieces and nephews. Kelly is preceded in death by her grandparents on both her mother and father’s side. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Grant Mortuary to assist with funeral expenses.
