Barbara, I am so sorry, I just heard of John's passing and it was quite a shock to me. I am sorry I wasn't at the funeral to see you and offer support of any kind. John was one of the kindest most gentle men I have ever known. He was a great member and leader of the Poca River Bassmasters throughout the time I was a member. I really enjoyed the few times we got to fish together, and I was amazed at his ability to adapt to all types of situations, I remember one tournament on Sumersville, it was so cold, it snowed a lot on us during the day. John fished all day without the aid of gloves and finished in the top of the field. Another time up on the Ohio River, his trolling motor broke as mine did one time and he fished all day using his oar or working the gears on the trolling motor by hand, He won that tournament as did I, as far as I know we were the only two guys in the club to win tournaments without a working trolling motor. I know he is going to be missed by family and friends and I am proud to say he was my friend.

Barbara and John so gracious that they put my mom Eleanor and I up in their guest room when we visited Huntington Hospital. I want to thank their children all of them for having the concern and care that only good neighbors would.
