Louis A. Terhorst

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna; children, Richard (Garlene) Terhorst, Kathy Austgen, Judy (Van) McFarlane, Bruce (Debbie) Terhorst and Amy Mitchell; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Nellie, Jack and Jerry.

Preceded in death by his parents, Eberhart and Elizabeth Terhorst.

Louis was a longtime resident of Schererville and retired from No.2 Tin Mill at LTV Steel. He proudly served our country in the US Army from 1953-1955 and was a member the American Legion Post 485. After retiring he enjoyed mowing the Schererville Boys Little League fields for many years. Louis was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 6:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Pastor Joseph Kenning officiating.

Burial will be held privately by the family.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
