Lee Roy Baumgardner Sr.

Lee Roy Baumgardner, Sr., age 82, passed away on May 6, 2018 at home. He was born July 31, 1935 to Roy and Helen Baumgardner of Culpeper. Lee Roy retired from Safeway Stores and loved gardening, antiquing, fishing, relic hunting and music, but most of all he loved his family. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, LaVerne “Bunny” Richardson Baumgardner of Culpeper; son, Lee, Jr. of Cartersville, VA; daughter Kimberly Selvaggi and husband Alan of Acworth, GA; grandchildren Hannah and Jacob Selvaggi of Acworth, GA; sister JoAnne Petty of Front Royal; and brother Roger Baumgardner of Culpeper. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Revoir of New Jersey. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, May 10, 2018, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers consider contributions to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Bunny and Family,
Bill and have enjoyed so much talking with you both over the years at sales and just personally about "life". We will miss his smile and knowledge but most of all his positive attitude and never giving up during his illness. God bless Lee Roy, You, Lee and your Daughter and her family during this difficult time. We will be unable to make it to family night but know that our thoughts are with you.

Lee Roy was a great man, we enjoyed talking to him at the shop. He loved antiques and had so much knowledge of them. Always up beat we will miss him so much. Rest in Peace Lee Roy!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I will miss Lee Roy so much. We always had great conversations at the Country shoppes.
We would talk about antiques to the weather. A wonderful person, so glad I got to know him.
