There Wasn't Anyone Who Didn't Like Him...

Daniel "Danny" Lee Cloninger, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday ~ November 14, 2019 at his residence in Dallas, North Carolina. Danny was the most honest person you'd ever meet. He'd give you the shirt off his back, helping others when he knew they needed it. His humor and joking was another great quality about him. Danny loved driving his tractor trailer especially hauling oversized loads. And he knew all the great places to eat where he had traveled. He loved his family greatly and most importantly, his wife Laura who he would do anything for. They were a perfect match together.

Those left behind to carry on Danny's legacy and memories are his wife Laura Cloninger of the home; one daughter and son in law: Christi and Jim Jones of Wilson, North Carolina; one son and daughter in law: Eric and Jennifer Arms of Dallas, North Carolina; two sisters and brothers in law: Kay and Richard Ferguson of Dallas, Emily and Charles Ware of Bessemer City; three brothers and sisters in law: Clifford and Robin Cloninger of Dallas, Chuck and Jewel of Florida, Aron and Susan Cloninger of New York; five grandchildren: Sydney Cox, Jackson Smith, Payton Arms, Gracynn Arms and Dylan Arms; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Danny was the son of the late Floyd Yates and Trula Bowers Yates. He was also preceded in death by one sister: Vickey Stamey; three brothers: David Cloninger, Roger Cloninger and Yates Cloninger; one sister in law: Barbara Cloninger.

A Life Well Celebrated Memorial Ceremony will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday ~ November 21, 2019 at Plainview Baptist Church, 3640 Dallas High Shoals Highway, Dallas, North Carolina 28034 with Pastors Mark Hovis and JJ Johnson delivering words of comfort and hope to Danny's family and friends.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM prior to the service.

The family ask that all acts of kindness, visits and food be taken to Danny's sisters home, Kay Ferguson 919 Miles Road, Dallas, North Carolina 28034.

Expressions of love and fond memories may be made on Danny's guestbook at www.carothersfuneralhomedallas.com

I have many good, fun memories growing up with my cousin/ cousins. I always looked forward to visiting from Pa an always cried when leaving. As time went by an we grew up an had our own familys, the memories of our younger days always brought a smile an a tear of wishing we could go back in time. Many family members have gone but I know Danny is up there in heaven, no pain, no sadness. RIP Danny..
