Alan Royce Floyd was born April 29, 1951 to his parents Royce and Lesvia Floyd of Dallas, Texas. He passed away on May 15, 2021. After graduating from Lake Highlands High School Alan then attended University of North Texas. Alan served in the United States Air Force, and later received an honorable discharge. He later attended Richland College, and Mountain View College, following his military service. On October 11, 1987 He married the love of his life, Pamela Ann First. He went on to work in the construction field, where worked with Miller Sierra Contractors Inc. for many years. He fought a courageous battle with COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Lesvia Floyd and his beloved pet, Buddy Mac. He is survived by his loving wife; Pamela Ann First Floyd, brother; Ricky Ray Floyd and his wife Melanie and their children, his daughters; Jessica Hannot Floyd Hoyer and her husband Todd, and Mary Elizabeth Ferrell Lynch, his son; Jonathan Royce Floyd, grandsons; Charles Lynch Jr., Gage Hutchason, and Jett Hutchason, granddaughters; Tracy Lynch, and Christina Lynch, great-granddaughters; Mia Gibson (No. 1), Lilliana Thomas (No. 2), Jada Thomas (No. 3), Serenity Sherman (No. 4), Tiana Thomas (No. 5), and Eariana Thomas (No. 6). Alan liked to remember his Great Granddaughters names by assigning them numbers. In his free time, Alan loved fishing, reading, music, making miniature towns from wood, making copper art work, and the watching birds and squirrels. Alan was a loving Husband, and Pam’s Best Friend, as well as a Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. His wishes are to have his ashes put in one of his wife’s Pencil Boxes to keep everything organized, (this was an inside joke). A graveside service will be held at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 11:00am, with Rick Floyd officiating. A reception will follow the graveside at 1:00pm at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home 10501 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend the graveside service and reception.
