Betty Elizabeth Letart, daughter of Thelma Shawver and Roy Hapney was born on March 2, 1927 in Charleston, West Virginia. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 25, 2018.

Betty is preceded in death by her son Joseph M Letart Jr. and survived by her husband of 71 years, Joseph M Letart Sr, her daughter, Donna Christy Sams and husband Marvin Sams, son Glen Christy and wife Kay Christy and son William Michael Letart and wife Delores Letart, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She and Joseph Letart Sr were married on May 13, 1948 in Charleston, West Virginia. In 1957 they moved to Irving,Texas; however, she maintained a place in her heart for West Virginia; therefore, having two places she called home.

She opened her heart and home to all. She was a lover of music and literature, enjoyed oil painting, but most dear to her was spending time with her family and friends. She touched all who met her with her warm loving heart, quick wit, and abounding sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas with visiting hours from 12-2pm, funeral service at 2pm. Burial to follow in West Virginia, time and date are pending.
