David Gordon

David graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington, BS Engineering; Southern Methodist University, MS Engineering; and the University of Oklahoma, Doctorate of Engineering. He was a Full Professor at the University of Dallas for 40 years, where he taught Operations Management and directed the Industrial Management and Engineering Management Programs. He received the University’s highest award, the King Fellow Award, in 1997.

Dr. Gordon was a renowned consultant to major corporations around the world. His work and love of travel resulted in visits to 50 countries, where he made lifelong friends.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Dr. Paula Ann Gordon, and his two children, Commander Jason A. Gordon, M.D., and Rebecca H. Gordon.

A Graveside service will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas, 75225 at 12 noon on Thursday, May 4, 2017. The service will be conducted by Temple Emanu-El, where David was a member for over 50 years.
