Mr. Fogleman was a WWII US Army Veteran, of the European theater, serving in England, France, Belgium, Poland, and Czechoslovakia, and a survivor of the Normandy Invasion. He was a PFC in Company “C” 112th Engineer Battalion, 5th Corp of Engineers.
He was a longtime member of the Adult Bible Class of Dallas and the Christian Men’s Breakfast Group of SW Dallas. He was a life member of both AMVETS and DAV, where he was active for half a century. He was also an active volunteer at the VA Hospital Chapel and the VA Nursing Home in Dallas for over twenty-five years.
Mr. Fogleman was a Ford Motor Company Retiree and enjoyed several entrepreneurial endeavors before and after retirement. He was a decades long recycler, and lifelong honeybee keeper and protector. He loved nature, gardening, and travel, as well as jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and dominos.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years- Lovenia Fae; his wife of 10 years- Sadie Marguerite “Maggie”, step daughter- Marsha Davidson, step-son- David Burkhardt, his parents, and six siblings.
Mr. Fogleman is survived by sisters- Pansie Frega, Geneva Giertz, Irene Monk and their families, step-daughter- Connie Ener and her family, numerous other family members and friends, as well as special friends at Clyde W. Cosper TSVH in Bonham, TX, whose staff was much loved and appreciated during his residence.
Final resting arrangements are under the direction of Laurel Land Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
Visitation is on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1pm, followed by a service at 2pm in the chapel and entombment in the Sanctuary of Prayer to honor and celebrate his life.
