Frances Kirzner, born February 4, 1925, in Poland, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020. Frances was a survivor of the Holocaust, and was liberated from Bergen-Belsen on April 15, 1945. After the war, she and her husband, Henry Kirzner, immigrated to the United States on July 4, 1949, and opened a dry goods store in Dallas a few years later. Frances Kirzner was loving, full of wit, and a bright light in the lives of everyone she knew. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry, her brother Abraham Gronner, and her two sons, Oscar and Leonard. She is survived by her grandson, Samuel Kirzner and his wife Kaitlyn, as well as her nieces Becky Goldstein and Debbie Greenberg. Services in her memory will be held on Sunday, May 31, at Sparkman/Hillcrest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum and Congregation Shearith Israel.
