Biographical Sketch of Frankie Lee Rambo
Frankie Lee Rambo was born to the parents of Mr. Herman Anderson Rambo and Mrs. Ruby Lister Rambo in Marshall (Harrison County) TX. At an early age he attended St Mary's Baptist Church in Marshall, TX. After the death of his mother, his father married Mrs. Lucille Richardson-Rambo, who raised him as her own, of which both preceded him in death. Upon moving to Dallas, he attended the Greater New Zion Baptist Church, under the late Pastor A. V. Voice.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956 and served in the United States Army, stationed in Ft Carson, CO. in 1961 and was discharged in 1967. He served as Ready Reserve for two years at Ft Hood, TX and served as a standby for two years.
He was a truck driver for the United States Postal Service and Julius Schepps Distributing Company.
He married Mary Lou Davis and accepted her son Bernard B. Posey as his own, they both preceded him in death. He later married Regina Rambo.
Preceding him in death are two sisters, Thelma Williams, Earnestine Chandler, four brothers Charles Ray Rambo, Herman Rambo, Jr., Willie "Pete "Alexander and Eddie Louis Richardson.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Velma Bean (Albert) of Dallas, TX; Verna Dean Rivers (Johnny) of San Jose, CA; Dorothy Richardson-Peoples and Gloria Richardson-Barnes both of Dallas, TX. God daughter Sandra (Dee Dee) Miller. A host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly and other relatives and friends.
