Garrett Mason Theisen, was born in Dallas, Texas on April 6th, 2004 at Baylor Hospital to Allie Parnell and Eric Theisen and attended St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School where he graduated with honors and Jesuit College Preparatory School where he was admitted to the National Honor Society as a sophomore.

In the 16 short years of his life, Garrett’s achievements in his education will shine as a bright star. He possessed an extraordinary intellect which coupled with his sense of humor and mischievous approach to everyday, made him extremely popular amongst his many friends.

Never a person to judge, Garrett always sought to find the good in everyone around him, he was a kind, gentle and generous person who loved nothing more than to spend time with his family, both in Dallas and in the United Kingdom. He was especially close to his grandparents Rudy and Doris Theisen and Marilyn and David Martin.

Garrett loved vacation time and in particular snowboarding in the mountains. He loved time on the beach and enjoyed most genres of music but in particular very loud rap!

Garrett is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Rudy Theisen.

Garrett is survived by his father, Eric Theisen and his mother, Allie Parnell and his stepfather Ian Parnell; his stepbrother Scott Parnell and grandparents Doris Theisen and Marilyn and David Martin; Grandaunts Mary Theisen, Bebe Theisen, Pat O’Brien, and Gerri Wooten. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, Benjamin Martin, Josephine Fahrenbacher Martin, Elizabeth and Tom Switzer, Alex, Milo, Violet and Ivy Switzer, Zachary and Dawn Spinhirnie-Martin and Kai and Maya Spinhirnie-Martin Garrett passed away on September 8th, 2020 and will be missed and remembered by everyone. Alethia,

You, Garrett, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I remember your cute three year old being a ring bearer in Dawn and Zach’s wedding. Such a dashing little man in his suit and red vest!!! May all the precious memories of him wrap around your heart where they will keep him with you forever.
