Jane May Mann

Jane Elizabeth May Mann was born on Feb 12 ,1946. She was the third child of Bill and Helen May. After graduating from North Dallas High School, she began working in the Music Department of First Baptist Church, Dallas where she was the assistant to Lee Roy Till. During her tenure in the Music Department Jane coordinated multiple Choir Tours for the Chapel Choir and became Momma Jane to hundreds of teenagers. It was while working in the Music Department that she met and married Louie L. Mann and they had their son Eric Tyson Mann.

After serving in the Music Ministry Jane became the Wedding Coordinator at the church, a role that she held for many years. She coordinated hundreds of weddings throughout those years, many of which were for those that lovingly called her Momma Jane and even coordinated the weddings of some of their children.

Jane and Louie both were faithful servants to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to the church where they served. Of the many things that she was asked to do there was never a task too large or too small that she wasn’t willing to tackle with a smile on her face and that sparkle in her eye. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. She loved her Lord and served Him until Wednesday, May 5, 2021 when she sweetly slipped from this life into eternal life.
