Jeanné Marie Ziaks passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2020. She was a beloved wife to Stuart Edward Ziaks and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt to her extended family. Jeanné and Stuart married in 2012. Jeanné was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and valiantly lived each day to the fullest. Jeanné was continually positive, active, and thoughtful. Over their eight years, she and Stuart enjoyed traveling across the country and visiting their families. She shared her love of life with everyone and was always ready to lend a helping hand. An amazing woman, she was known for her kindness and compassion, Jeanné radiated joy.
Jeanné was born to Dolores Duran Sanchez and Herman F. Sanchez on December 30, 1962, in Pueblo, Colorado. Jeanne was one of nine children. She moved to Dallas in 1992 and helped raise her nieces and nephews, among them are Amie & Isaac Sanchez, Christopher Medina, Julie Aguilar, Jennifer Medina, Mia Lopez, Deedra Aguilar and children. Jeanné is survived by sisters Vivian and Liz, and brothers Joe, Matt, Ron, and Gilbert, and her mother Dolores. Jeanne was predeceased by her father Herman Sanchez, brothers Herman Sanchez Jr., Tom Sanchez, and nephew Charlie Matchett.
Jeanné worked as a commercial banker at Bank of America for over 25 years. She was a very respected colleague, had a strong work ethic and high degree of personal integrity. Jeanné enjoyed reading, gardening, doing all kinds of arts and crafts. Her legacy of kindness and positivity will be carried on by her family.
There will be a private service on August 23 for the family. Friends and colleagues are encouraged to attend the live online service on Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park Facebook page at noon. Donations may be made to support cancer research in her memory.
